The FAROS collection boxes have arrived on Symi!

As of today residents and visitors to Symi can donate to the FAROS Animal Fund by putting their coins or notes in one of the distinctive FAROS collection boxes.

They are black, have the photo of Wee-J (the small cat who died of feline enteritis in February, and has now become the recognisable face of FAROS) on one side , and the FAROS logo on the other side. The FAROS logo also appears on top of the box with the SymiGreece website at the bottom.

You can already find the FAROS collection box in a number of places (agencies, shops, restaurants, bars, etc.) on Symi including Kalodoukas Holidays and Symi Tours, our two biggest sponsors. By the end of the week, the FAROS collection boxes will be available in even more places around Yialos and Horio.

If you are on Symi this summer, please look out for the FAROS collection boxes and help FAROS by donating whatever you can. With the next FAROS vet visit in just over a month's time (4-9 August) and the one ater that scheduled for the last week of September, we need your support.

We are currently in the process of finalising a number of fund-raising events which will take place over the next few weeks so there will be extra opportunities to be part of FAROS. FAROS may be just 3-months old but everyone is talking about it on Symi.
