Second FAROS vet clinic on Symi: 4 – 9 August 2008 (Mavrovouni, Yialos) 28 July 2008
On foot: at the end of the steps that start to the left of the Municipality.
By car/bike: at the end of the road that starts opposite the cemetery at Elikoni.

FAROS, will operate a vet clinic on Mavrovouni from Monday 4 August until Saturday 9 August 2008. The FAROS clinic is now the official Symi branch of the Department of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Thessaloniki and is subject to the same standards of veterinary care. The details of all animals treated will become part of the University's treatment records.

The clinic will operate daily between 10-2 in the morning and 5:30-8:30 in the evening free of charge for any of the following:
- Check-ups
- Vaccinations
- Neuterings
- General advice
- Minor operations
- Special blood tests
- Ear testing (otoscopy)

We are very pleased that even in high season, Kalodoukas Holidays is donating the accommodation for the vets and Symi Tours is donating boat tickets and transportation.

As always, the vets will offer their service free of charge and the cost of the clinic is covered exclusively by voluntary donations. Please help us maintain the free FAROS vet clinic all year round by making a donation to the FAROS Symi Animal Fund. You can do so in one of the FAROS collection boxes you will find around Symi, or online by clicking the DONATE buton below.

    Thank you Sam!

We will keep eveyone up-to-date with what happens at the FAROS clinic. Hopefully, we will have a good 6-days of proper Symi Animal care and all this in the heart of August... something that never happened in the past.

FAROS is grateful that our main sponsors (Kalodoukas Holidays and Symi Tours) do care about animals and even at high season, they are prepared to lose thousands in order to sponsor FAROS!
