The sunny weather came back, but with strong winds which has meant the leaves on the trees have been curling up, and going brown. Very strange to see so many leaves on the ground in July! The house we rent has a small garden, and most things have been suffering so far. Apart from the Chilli Peppers, our excellent Landlords (pay later) Bob and kathy planted in the winter. For some reason these look really healthy, even when they've been starved of some water. They're green at the moment, but are just starting to go a bit red. Should be enough for Jo and I to cook something spicy, plus quite a few dried ones for K and B when they need warming up in the winter months. I think next year to be on the safe side, they should plant hundreds of them! There easy to maintain, colourful, and you get something to add to your food once there done!
As for the beer, well, I've been sitting this afternoon with one while admiring the peppers. I know, I know...but I needed a break! Some would say I drink a few, but the doctor here recommended it would help me walk up and down to the harbour. And so...I'm going to have another one now, as I may need to go out tomorrow.
Now....look at my chillies, and have a drink on me.
