Today is the 63rd anniversary of the signing of the treaty at Catherinettes to hand over the Dodecanese to the Allies and Symi celebrated in style with a grand parade. High ranking government officials including the Defence Secretary, Mr Mihalis Meimarakis, and many others representing the Greek Parliament, all major political parties and local authorites, gathered in front of the war memorial in the most well-attended ceremony for many years.
