News › Symi day-trips: Extra service & time 17/06/2007, 17:08

ANES have announced today that from Friday 22 June 2007, a second boat, the "Symi II", will start day-trips from Rhodes via Panormitis on a daily basis at the same times the "Symi" is currently running : departing Rhodes at 9:00am, arriving in Symi at 13:00 after stopping at Panormitis for an hour (10:50-11:50) and leaving Symi at 15:45.

As of Monday 18 June 2007, the "Symi" will change its schedule and arrive in Symi almost 2 hours earlier (at 10:50) and stop at Panormitis on its return journey to Rhodes (leaving Symi at 14:15). This means that daytrippers will be on Symi for two more hours each day (from 10:50 to 15:45) which will no doubt be welcomed by local businesses on the island. Panormitis should also benefit from the change as it will now receive visitors twice a day (10:50-11:50 and 15:15-16:15).
