Mayor Elections 2006: Lefteris Papakalodoukas is re-elected
Lefteris Papakalodoukas, was re-elected Mayor of Symi with a total of 1,403 votes (58.05%). His opponent Agapitos Antoniadis received 1,014 votes (41.95%). With a majority of 389, this is a solid victory unlike the majority of 8 that the Mayor had in 2002. The total number of valid votes cast was 2417, up from 2010 at the previous election.
The final result conirmed the 8-5 split of the 13 council seats. The number of votes cast for each candidate for the Symi Counsil for each of the 10 polling stations is shown below.
