Turama arrived off Symi, which was already being graced by the presence of The World. Onboard (as they were when Turama was last in Symi) for their second visit, were George Bush, former President of the USA, and his wife Barbara.

Turama anchored in the bay at Nimborio and the Bushes came for a short visit to Yialos surrounded by a large security contingent.

The following text is from one of the charter companies that hire out the yacht:
The brand new 116-meter Turama will be available for charter beginning in June 2004.
This majestic vessel accommodates over 50 guests in 3 Master Suites and 24 Luxury-VIP Staterooms, plus 16 first class cabins. She is equipped with a full gymnasium, a beauty spa, a splash pool, a 22 seat private theater, an 80-seat conference room and spacious public areas all of which assure that every need can be attended to in unprecedented luxury and style.
The Turama is also available for special events whether they be private celebrations or corporate functions. Our skilled planners are available to advise and work with your staff to create the event of your dreams. Whether it is a formal banquet, a spectacular party or the launch of a new product, the full facilities including large conference rooms and comfortable meeting areas are all available to make that special occasion even more memorable.
The fully certified helipad enables the transfer of guests from ship to shore with ease, comfort, safety and security.
Turama was built in 1990 at the Rauma Yard in Finland and was sold at that time for $33,600,000, sailing under the name Columbus Caravelle. It was converted into a private charter yacht in 2004 and is operated by Privatsea Yachting, part of the Latsis Family's group of interests.
In the 2008 list of the World's largest megayachts, Turama was at No. 7 (for tonnage) and No. 12 for length. It is the largest motor yacht in the World that is available for private charter.
You can charter Turama for around $90,000 a day.
